From worst to first, Sunapee takes it 5-4.

The 3rd place navy Sunapee team completed
the ultimate turn around, and they did it without goalie Ben Minsk.
"It just goes to show you that anyone can play net and win with us,"
said champion Pat Deskin.
This week with Ben away on a cruise that his team paid for, they
found Bob Love on a Reditt thread and he suited up to play goal for
the navy team in the Championship Game. We counted 5 saves, and the
navy team needed all 5 for the 5-4 win.
The team that started 0-6 ran the table, and did not lose again.
Well they had a tie, but still no losses.
"We're the best 5-6-1 team the league has ever seen," said George
Howard.
After disposing of the pesky Red team and Andy Long in two straight
games, they went to the title game to take on the surprisiung last
place green Wildcat team.
"We're just happy to be here," said Erick Grasso.
"And we're happy to have you here," repiled Rick Murphy.
Jimmy D. opened the scoring for green, but a Deskin goal tied it and
the first ended 1-1. In the 2nd, goals by Todd Nichol and Rick
Murphy had the green team up 3-1. Kevin Flanagan finally shot the
puck instead of passing to Mark Kramer, and cut the lead to 3-2.
Trailing by a goal in the third, it looked like the sun finally set
on Sunapee, and the last place green Wildcat team was gonna steal
this title.
But fate had other plans. The team that was supposed to win,
ultimately did. It started with a shot from the point from Rick
Bobrycki that tied it at 3-3.
So let's get this straight, it's 2026, and 3 original guys from 1998
all scored ?
Then two very strange goals. We're not even sure who scored them.
But two scrums around the green net ended with two quiet goals by
the navy team. Nobody celebrated. Nobody raised their stick. Event
he broadcast crew had no idea they had scored either time.
When it was all said and done, the navy team scored 3 times in 3:30
to make a 3-2 defecit a 5-3 lead. With 1:09 to play there was
a Steve Thompson sighting. He scored to cut the lead to 5-4, but
that would be our final.
