The third place red team got hot when it
counted.
After skating by the 2nd place gold team in round one, they made short work of the first place navy team with a 6-3 championship win.
Red jumped out to a 3-0 lead, but navy cut it to 3-2. After red went up 4-2, another navy goal had it back to one goal at 4-3. Trevor Legere had the worst championship goal ever, and that turned out to be the game winner. And we're not talking about the empty net goal.
Two more goals in the third iced the game for the red team.
