The first place red team decided to no
show up for the first round of the playoffs, and the last place
green team thanks them.
"We couldn't have done it without their help," said Scott Onello who won his first BBHC Title.
The game started off with the first 10 minutes of play in the green zone, as the 3rd place navy team had them hammed in.
"Don't you mean hemmed in?' asked Steve Hardy.
"No, we definitely had them hammed in," replied Rick Armand.
The navy team however came away empty handed. Shortly after the green Blowers finally got their first shots on Rollie. On shot three from Miller from the point, the save was made but Kellogg scored on the rebound.
Later in the period Tom Conway scored and green shocked navy with a 2-0 lead at first break.
In the 2nd period the craziness continued. Aizanman scored to make it 3-0. Then long shot goals by defenseman Conway and Miller both eluded Rollie for a 5-0 lead.
Cormican finally got navy on the board in the third, but by that time Hardy has benched himself and McCarthy was taking regular shifts.
Steve Thompson, who had a quiet game, scored the 6th and final goal for the Blowers, capping off a 6-1 win.
