Late goal gives Juicy Fruit a 3-2 Title win.
The gold Juicy Fruit team went up 1-0 in
the first, on a very late goal by Thompson on a 2 on 1 break with
Nichol who made a suite pass.
Aizanman scored the only goal of the 2nd, and the navy Winterfresh team tied the score at 1-1. Chris Caruso flatted Aizanman right in the middle of his goal celly. It was pretty funny.
The C players from both teams had chances to score, but neither Gavin nor Ambrosino could put home the gimmies.
In the third with 11:15 to play Jon Morin put home a rebound of an Andy Long shot on a 4 on 2 break to put navy up 2-1. But they couldn't hold the lead.
Thompson jammed home his 2nd of the game with 2:30 to play and it was tied at 2-2. It looked like OT was looming, but in a scramble around the navy net, Nichol flipped the puck past Fuji with only 26 seconds to get the gold team the win.
