The Championship Game was a rare one
between the first and second place teams. Usually we see a playoff
upset in round one, but not this season.
Bob Powell cancelled his free cruise to play hockey, and he scored the first goal of the game, as the Nichol, Kramer, Powell line was in high gear.
In the 2nd Dustin Silk made it 2-0 when he backhanded a shot into the top corner. Joe Surette got the green team on the board when he crashed the net and put home a pass from Derek Osbahr.
The only goal of the third came 4 minutes in when Rick Armand found the puck on his stick in the slot and he buried the shot for the 3-1 final.
